K Assists Reading is Fundamental at 2005 Summer Book Distribution

the Richmond Area Arts Council was a co-sponsor of the RIF Fair.
Selecting a book was serious business
Kiwanians and prospective Circle
K members at Eastern Kentucky University teamed up to prepare
their distribution of free crayons and notebooks to all of the
RIF participants
An EKU professor prepared balloon
sculpture for the participants
Brenda Blankenship, treasurer of
the Richmond Kiwanis Club, helps RIF participants select beads
and color shapes for their necklaces.

Melissa Coffey, an EKU senior and
prospective Circle K member, helps a young man put together a

Another activity at the RIF event
was face painting. Here a young man checks the progress of his
design in a mirror.
Sarah Webb, an EKU Freshman who
was active in the Model School Key Club and plans to be active
in the EKU Circle K, assists a participant complete her necklace.
