Richmond and Irvine Ravenna Hold Joint 2006 Induction
Becky Werner, Lieutenant Governor of District
9 of the Kentucky Tennessee District of Kiwanis International,
inducted both the Richmond and the Irvine-Ravenna 2006-2007 Officers
and boards.
Richmond Kiwanis Board
and Officers Inducted
Newly inducted officers and board members of the Kiwanis Club
of Richmond are: Front row (l. To r.) David Harkleroad,
president; Dr. Kim Naugle, immediate past president; and
Elizabeth Robinson, board member for 2006-2008. Back row

Elbert Hudson, Treasurer; and Dr. Glen Kleine, board
member for 2005-2007.
Board members not available for the photograph were: Brenda
Blankenship for 2005-2007, Dr. Chris Boni for 2006-2008,
Wayne Short for 2005-2007 and Dr. Morris Taylor for
2005-2007.
The Richmond Kiwans officers and board members were
inducted at a joint meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Richmond and
the Kiwanis Club of Irvine Ravenna. Inducting the leadership of
the Richmond Kiwanis Club was Rebecca Werner, the Lieutenant
Governor of District 9 of the Kentucky Tennessee District of Kiwanis
International.

Dr. Tom Bonney served as the MC for the joint
inducation ceremony.
Richmond Club President David Harkleroad (left),
presents the Richmond Kiwanian of the Year award to Dr. Glen
Kleine at the induction ceremony. The Kiwanian of the Year
Award is determined by a vote of the club members.
Several quilters from the Irvine-Ravenna Club were
recognized at the banquet for their time and talent they contributed
in making the Division 9 quilt square.
The largest fundraiser at the Kentucky-Tennessee Division
2006 Convention was the sale of the K-T quilt, a concept developed
by K-T First Lady Michelle Garman, to Betty and Jim
Stevens from the Kiwanis Club of Erwin, TN for $2,600. Betty
is the current Lt. Gov. of Division 7. This one-of-a-kind quilt
featured squares produced by each of the divisions in the Kentucky-Tennessee
District.
