![]() Jacqueline Shaver and the EKU Colonel, the EKU mascot, posed at the EKU Circle K Recruiting Booth during the 2006 City Fest.. City Fest was an event jointly sponsored by EKU and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. It provided an opportunity for local businesses, churches, restaurants, and health organizations to provide information and free food so that new students would learn all that Richmond has to offer. It also provided an opportunity for EKU departments amd student organizations to showcase their programs or services to EKU students and the Richmond community. City Fest was designed to help new EKU students learn more about Richmond and EKU in a "street fair" atmosphere. Entertainment at City Fest included the EKU dancers and a karate demonstration. Also available was face painting, temporary henna tatoos,, an inflatable playhouse, a climbing wall, a visit from Ronald McDonald, and other activities. More than a dozen students signed up to find out more about Circle K at EKU. ![]() ![]() |
