Kiwanis Family Relations

Kiwanis International

Membership in a Kiwanis club connects a person with the community and other individuals he or she wouldn't otherwise know. Club members learn about developments and happenings in their community during their regular club gatherings. They also enjoy new social and business networking opportunities with the wide variety of members in their club. And, together, they combine their interests and skills to improve their community in ways that make a real impact in the lives of others, particularly children.

Our sponsoring Kiwanis Club is the Richmond Kiwanis Club. They have assisted us in organizing our newly formed chapter. We invited to their weekly luncheon every Tuesday at noon and will help with special projects.

Key Club International

Key Club is for high school students. It is the largest high school student run organization in the world. The Model Laboratory High School, associated with Eastern Kentucky University, has a very active Key Club.

Builders Club International

Builders Club offers such opportunities to middle school-aged students. Its goal is to develop leadership qualities in young people through experiences in volunteer community service. As the motto "We Build" indicates, Builders Club is for young people who want to take positive, constructive action to build a better world for themselves and others. Builders Club members experience the thrill of accomplishment and the satisfaction of knowing their efforts make a difference for those they help. The Model Laboratory School, associated with Eastern Kentucky University, has recently formed a Builders Club

K-Kids

K-Kids is a community-service organization for elementary school students, which operates under school regulations and draws its members from the student body. K-Kids is unique because it a local Kiwanis club, composed of the leading business and professional people of the community, sponsors it. K-Kids' objectives are: to provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community; to develop leadership potential; to foster the development of a strong moral character; and to encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.
