The Xi Beta Chapter (Eastern Kentucky University) sponsored a wall in a Habitat for Humanity house of Madison and Clark Counties in August, 2007. The chapter donated money to help sponsor this wall, which helped make a home for a deserving family.

Delta Zeta Members Recognized for Service

Leslie Bumgarner, Ashlee Smathers and Joline Oakes, members of Delta Zeta, were recorgnized for their service as literacy volunteers with EKU's AmeriCorpos program.

From March , 2003

The Xi Beta Chapter of Delta Zeta has started Spring 2003 off right! During Greek Week, Delta Zeta brought home several awards including Best New Member Class, Greek Week Participation, Greek games, and 2nd place in Penny Wars. Also, Delta Zeta carried on the tradition of being "Individually unique, together complete" by adding seven wonderful new members to our sisterhood. These ladies are Allison Briddle, Ashlee French, Kim Gray, Lee Ann Campbell, Megan Hurt, Amanda Stevens, and Paige Tackett. Ashlee French has already stepped up to become Junior Panhellenic Secretary, as well. DZ is looking forward to the rest of the school year and all that it holds. We hope that all our hard
work shines throughout campus and community as we accomplish all of our high goals.

National Service

Delta Zeta Chapters across the United States participate in fundraising for our National Philanthropic cause, the speech and hearing impaired.  Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. is the only speech and hearing impaired University in the United States.  Eastern Kentucky University reportedly has a greater number of hearing impaired students than any other state supported university in the commonwealth of Kentucky. The Delta Zeta Foundation also focuses the philanthropy of the sorority by contributing money raised by all the Delta Zeta chapters across the United States.  Delta Zeta believes that in supporting these two organizations we add the gift of financial support and generating awareness to the speech and hearing impaired.
