2008 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
Among the Delta Zeta volunteers wo participated
in the 2008 Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast were: Laura Amens, Laura
Apel, Jessica Baumgardner, Devon Burchet, Courtney Hey, Lindsay
Hartman, Marie Patterson. Ashlee Smathers, and Sara Stafford.
Marie Patterson, a member of the Delta Zeta sorority at Eastern Kentucky
University, brings some pancake syrup to a table full of customers.

2007 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
Another group that tradisionally assists the Kiwanis
club has been the Xi Beta Chapter of Delta Zeta Service Sorority
at Eastern Kentucky University. Working the 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. shift

2006 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast.
Among those DZs helping at the 2006 Kiwanis Pancake
Breakfast for charity were:DZ President, Katie Forge, and
Abby Berry, Kacie Boester, Tiffany Bowles, Leslie Bumgarner,
Lois Bunch, Erin Camp, Leigh Anne Carby, Lindsey Crum, Leslie
Cox, Lindsey Fennen, Katie Hulett, Ashlee Smathers, and Amy Vermillion,
Kiwanian Jack Bisping serves up pancakes for
delivery to pancake participants.
David Harkleroad, President of the Kiwanis Club
of Richmond, serves up pancakes for the DZs to take them to waiting
customers.
DZ's serve some early birds at the breakfast.

One Delta Zeta Sorority member from Eastern Kentucky
University takes a pancake break while other of her sorority sisters
pick up pancakes to serve waiting patrons. The Delta Zetas have
assisted at the Kiwanis club of Richmond at their Pancake Breakfasts,
at their Roadblocks, at their golf tournaments, and at their annual
auction as part of their philanthropic work. Click here to learn

2004 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast.
Four members of the Delta Zeta Sorority from Eastern
Kentucky University assisted at the 2004 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake
Breakfast as part of their philanthropic work. Delta Zetas helping
with the pancake breakfast were: Hunter Barker, Carrie Caulk,
Megan Leaman, and Jennifer Ryan.
DZs helped to serve families attending the breakfast
and also helped in the kitchen. The funds
raised from this event will help support Young Children
Priority One, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Bluegrass Pop Warner
Little Scholars Football, Home Meal Delivery, Crusade for Children,
Hospice, Educational Talent Search Program, 4-H, Boy Scouts, Telford
YMCA Youth Basketball Team, Special Olympics, 4-H Camp Scholarship,
Trooper Island, Educational Talent Search Program, Scholarships
for Outstanding graduates of Model High School, Madison Central
High School and 4-H, Richmond Little League, Make A Wish Foundation,
Madison Central Academic Boosters, Model High School Key Club,
Model Lab High School Project Graduation, Madison Central High
School Project Graduation, Reading
is Fundamental (RIF), Richmond Younger Women's Club Junior
Miss Pageant, Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky River Foothills,
Habitat for Humanity, ten children on the Salvation Army Angle
Tree, and many other activities.

2003 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
The Delta Zeta Sorority from Eastern Kentucky University
assisted at the 2003 Richmond Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast. Their
payment for a half day's work? A breakfast and the good feeling
that they would be helping lots of kids. This was the first shift
of DZ workers and it included (l. to r.) Megan Magaldi, Megan
Pitstick, Ashley Galovics, Brandi Hawkins, Gena Moffett, Lucinda
Castle, Lindsey Shoupe, Brieann Bradley, and Tatem Childers.

customers
The second shift of Delta Zeta workers at the pancake
breakfast were (seated l. to r.) Megan Leamon, Brandy Andre
and Jen Ryan. Workers in red DZ shirts (l. to r.) are
Megan Pitstick, Megan Handshoe, Kelly Kreiger, Amanda King, Allison
Runyon and Janlee Strait.
One of the guest cooks at the annual pancake breakfast
was Richmond Mayor Connie Lawson
The DZ and Model High School Key Club workers topped
off the day with a group photo with "fun noses" provided
by B. Wayne Sullivan, the Kentucky-Tennessee District Governor
of Kiwanis International.
