Madison Central High School Key Club

The Madison Central High School Key Club was organized at the outset of the 2011-2012 academic year. The mission of the Key Club International is to provide its members with opportunities to provide service to their school, their community, and to the world, to build character and to develop leadership. As of 2010 Key Club exists in 30 countries, with membership of over 250,000 in over 5,000 Key Clubs. It is the largest secondary school service organization in the world. The MCHS Key Club is also affiliated with the Kentucky-Tennessee Key Club District. The MCHS Key Club is also sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Richmond. KY.


Madison Central High School is located in Richmond, Kentucky. There are approximately 1,800 students attending MCHS.

Tina Wu Gives Presentation to Kiwanis Club of Richmond

On July 17, 2018 Tina Wu was the principal speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Richmond at Madison County Public Library. Tina, from the Madison Central Key Club, told about her trip to the Key Leader Program and the Key Club International Convention.Tina (right in photo above) posed with several other International Key Club Leaders at the Key Club International Convention . Tina served as President of the 2017-18 Madison Central Key Club and currently is the 2018-19 Kentucky-Tennessee Key Club Division 9 Lt. Governor.

Madison Central High School Key Club
Selected as Outstanding Club in Division 9

The Madison Central High School Key Club was selected as the most outstanding Key Club in Division 9 (Central Kentucky) of the Kentucky-Tennessee Key Club District of Kiwanis International. Kyla Kelley was the 2nd place winner and Addie Riel received an Honorable Mention in Kentucky-Tennessee Key Club District Impromptu Essay Contest. Susan Rahimzadeh, President of the MCHS Key Club, was recognized for her leadership as president of the most outstanding Key Club in Division 9

Tin Wu, a member of the MCHS Key Club, was selected as the ourtstanding non-digital artist for her poster promoting the community service objectives of Key Club International.

Tin Wu's award winning poster promoted both "caring as a way of life" and "service to the community".

Kristen Hamilton Receives $500 Scholarship

Kristen Hamilton, the president of the Madison Central High School Key Club, received the $500 Joyce Turpin Scholarship from Matt Day, the 2013-2014 Kiwanis Club of Richmond President.  Kristen will be attending the University of Louisville as an education major.

MCHS Key Club Assists in Creating
Float for 2011 Richmond Christmas Parade

Madison Central High School Key Club and the Model High School Key Club members worked together to create the first Christmas float every created by Key Club members in Richmond. Click here for additional photos of the Key Club float. The MCHS members in this photo are Mac Kenzie Palmer, Cheyenne Niceley, Tara Bray, Jessica Gunkler, and Jessica Marcum. Kiwanian Glynn Tucker (left) provided the float and truck to pull it and Kiwanian Jennifer Napier is the liason between the Kiwanis Club of Richmond and the MCHS Key Club.
