24th Annual Kiwanis Golf Scramble on Sep 8

The Kiwanis Club of Richmond has been serving Madison County for over 68 years. The club is involved in numerous service activities, student projects and provides bi-weekly fellowship and presentations from community members and organizations. One of the fundraisers is the 24th Annual Golf Scramble held at Gibson Bay Golf Course on Sep. 8, 2017.

As a member of this community, we are requesting you assist the Kiwanis of Richmond with supporting this event that raises funds for the most vulnerable youth, seniors, and needy in Madison County.

Kiwanis Club of Richmond Awards

$500 Scholarships to Local Students

Seniors from two high schools, located in Richmond, were recently awarded $500 scholarships by the Kiwanis Club of Richmond, KY. The recipients were: Sahana Holla from Model High School and Raegan Coyle from Madison Central High School.

Present for the awarding of the scholarships were (l. to r.) Reshma Kumar, the mother of Sahana,; Sahana; Matt Day, President of the club; Beth Thompson, the long-time chair of the club's scholarship committee; Regan Coyle; and her mother Kim Coyle.

Sahana is the president of the senior class, president of the Model School National Honor Society and has been active in the Model School Key Club from 2014 through 2017. Sahana will major in Biology and Neuroscience at the University of Kentucky.

Raegan has been the Key Club Vice President from 2015-17, has been active in Math Chicks and has been active in athletics at Madison Central High School. Kim will major in Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University.
The Kiwanis Club of Richmond is the sponsor of the Key Clubs at both high schools.Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. Key Club has approximately 260,000 members in approximately 5,000 clubs. Key Club is represented in 37 countries


Long-Time Kiwanian Robert Nayle Dies


Dr. Robert Nayle Dies on August 13 in Richmond. Bob was a member of Department of Mathematics faculty at Eastern Kentucky University and a long-time member of the Kiwianis Club of Richmond. He chaired the annual auction several times and was always available to serve on service projects and at fundraiser. His services were held at the First United Methodist Church.
